    Carsten Müller will be CEO/President of Vardia Denmark - Friday 23rd August 2013

    Vardia Forsikringsagentur A/S (Vardia Denmark), which is a part of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS (SIG), has appointed CEO/President.

    Carsten Müller, 39 years of age, will take up the position as CEO/President of Vardia Denmark from 1st of September 2013. Vardia Forsikringsagentur A/S is a new daughter company of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS, meaning that SIG/Vardia now will be represented in all three Scandinavian countries. Carsten Müller comes from a position as Head of Alliances at If P&C Insurance, Danmark, where he was responsible for partners within "White Label" Insurance, including auto (auto brand insurance).

     

    Carsten has an MBA from AVT Business School and got further education from Wharton, London Business School and Harvard Business School.

     

    The SIG Group, which consist of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS, Vardia Forsikring AS and Vardia Försäkring AB, Vardia Agencies AS and Vardia Forsikringsagentur A/S has about 280 employees at offices in Oslo, Sortland, Hamar, Molde, Porsgrunn, Stockholm, Luleå, Skellefteå and now Copenhagen. The turnover is budgeted to be in excess of NOK 800 million this year and listing of the group is planned for April 2014.

     

    SIG/Vardia has main focus on service and distribution of insurance products within Private Lines and Smaller Commercial Lines. In addition, SIG distributes some niche products, like Aquaculture Insurance on behalf of Lloyds through Vardia Agencies AS.

     

    SIGs concept is unique, and the group experience a significant demand for its service. It is expected a strong growth in Scandinavia in the years to come.     Scandinavian Insurance Group AS - new share capital

    Scandinavian Insurance Group AS (SIG), have in cooperation with Pareto Securities AS, raised NOK 70 million in new share capital and is well capitalized for further planned growth throughout Scandinavia.

     

    SIG announces that it has successfully completed a private placement to selected new investors with subsequent repair offering to existing shareholders totaling NOK 70 million. The new capital will be used to further growth and new businesses. Vardia Forsikring A/S (Denmark) plans to start up in the autumn 2013 and Vardia Forsikring AS (Norway) opens a new office in the city of Porsgrunn soon.

     

    SIG distributes insurance to its customers through its subsidiaries Vardia Forsikring AS in Norway and Vardia Försäkring AB in Sweden. SIG focuses on service and distribution of insurance in the market areas of private lines and small Business. In addition, SIG provide insurance solutions to the aquaculture industry through Vardia Agencies AS, in cooperation with Lloyd´s.

     

    The group, consisting of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS, Vardia Forsikring AS, Vardia Försäkring AB and Vardia Agencies AS, has approximately 260 employees in Oslo, Sortland, Oslo, Stockholm, Luleå and Skellefteå. Turnover in 2012 was NOK 345 million and is budgeted to over NOK 800 million in 2013.

     

    SIG is licensed in all classes of general insurance with the exception of guarantee and credit insurance. SIG have a unique concept, and the company is currently experiencing a significant demand for its services. Furthermore, SIG expect a considerable growth in Scandinavia in the coming years and the Group plans IPO in 2014.

    Scandinavian Insurance Group AS - has appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Ivar K Z Pedersen (55) will be the company's chief financial officer.

     

    The Group consists of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS, Vardia Forsikring AS and Vardia Försäkring AB has approximately 130 employees in Oslo, Sortland, Hamar, Stockholm and Luleå. The turnover in 2011 is expected to be in excess of NOK 300 mill.

     

    SIG's main focus is service and distribution of insurance products within Private Lines and small Commercial. In addition, the company will distribute niche products like Fish Farm Insurance. In Norway, Unison Forsikring AS is our main partner within agency business.

    Scandinavian Insurance Group - a new Norwegian insurance company

    Scandinavian Insurance Group AS (SIG) has completed a successful share issue for NOK 50 million in cooperation with DnB NOR Markets. With this, SIG has met all conditions set by the Norwegian FSA to start up a new insurance company.


    SIG today announces that the company has met all the conditions for an insurance license and will start up ordinary non-life insurance business in Scandinavia. This is in addition to the company's present agency business through Vardia Forsikring AS and Vardia Försäkring AB. SIG has license within all classes of non-life insurance except Guarantee- and Credit insurance.

     

    The Group consists of Scandinavian Insurance Group AS, Vardia Forsikring AS and Vardia Försäkring AB and has approximately 130 employees in Oslo, Sortland, Hamar, Stockholm and Luleå. The turnover in 2011 is expected to be in excess of NOK 300 mill.

     

    SIG's main focus is service and distribution of insurance products within personal lines and small commercial. In addition, the company will distribute niche products like Fish Farm Insurance. The Norwegian agency business will continue with Unison Forsikring AS as main partner.

     

    SIG's concept is unique and the company is experiencing solid demand for the group's services. A considerably growth in Scandinavia is expected in the years to come.

     

    The group has a strong management team with extensive experience from the insurance industry. In addition, SIG has a very competent Board of Directors. The new Chairman is Åge Korsvold who has broad management experience from insurance and finance. He is stepping down as Group CEO of Kistefos ASA and prior to that he was Group CEO of Storebrand. The Board otherwise consist of Karl Høie (Deputy Chairman), Jacob Svendsen, Rune Olsen Arneberg and Pål Lauvrak.
